Look no further if you are looking for medium-sized red berries that have very good flavour and quality. The Heritage Raspberry, 'Rubus 'Heritage', is exceptional for fresh eating, making pies and jams or freezing.

The foliage and flowers are not ornamentally significant and it is mainly grown for its edible qualities. The Heritage raspberry produces an abundance of beautiful red berries starting with a moderate crop in early summer and a heavier crop in the fall. If you are keen on attracting local butterflies and birds to your yard, the Heritage Raspberry is a good choice. Otherwise, cover with a net to protect your crop.

Heritage Raspberry should be planted organically rich soil that is not allowed to dry out. Plant it in its own designated space away from other plants for best results. It will perform best in full sun. Each spring prune everything but last years' growth to the ground.
